I've Been Called Out

One of my dearest friends nicely called me out this week letting me know that I have not updated the blog since March.  So much has changed with Cameron since then and I feel terrible that I have not detailed those changes here, so here we go!

Cameron is 10 1/2 months and growing like a weed!  She is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything.  She has not shown any interest yet of standing on her own, when I try she just falls down to the sitting position.  She has 4 teeth (middle bottom and top) and two more coming in on top as well.  We are just trying to handle the heat so our summer has been filled with lots of pool time.  Here are some pictures.

My sister-in-law Christina has a friend Laura that is getting into photography so she took some pictures of Cameron in late May.  They turned out great!!!

This was her first time in a pool and she LOVED it!

We took a trip to Rockport with our friends Marissa & Steven and Amy & Parker.  We had a great time and this is Cameron's first experience at the beach.

Just chillin'

This has been a very condensed update of what we have been doing.  I PROMISE to update more regularly and thank you friend for reminding me of my duties as a blog holder!! :)

Mardi Gras

Cameron enjoyed and celebrated her first Mardi Gras.  This will be the ONE and ONLY time this girl has beads around her neck!!

Spring has Sprung

Last weekend we had some friends over for dinner and were able to enjoy the wonderful weather.  Cameron really likes being outside, pretty soon we are going to have to invest in a swing for her to enjoy.

Going to the Chapel

My baby brother is getting married next month to an amazing girl, Tristan, and last weekend we had their first wedding shower hosted by some of Tristan's family.  We had a wonderful time and it was great to see them surrounded by so many great friends and family members.

I was so lucky to marry my best friend almost 5 years ago and I am so thankful that Matt will be doing the same here in a few short weeks.  I love you both and am so excited for you!

Dinnertime

We have started feeding Cameron baby food and at first she wasn't quite sure what to think.  She is slowly getting the hang of eating from a spoon and gets excited when she sees the spoon come out.  She has tried apples, peaches, bananas, sweet potatoes, and squash and has done well with all of them.  These are a few pictures from one of the first times we tried and then a more recent dining experience.  Bon Appetit!!

Not sure what to think about this baby food stuff
Messy Girl!!
It's hard to see her big smile in between those chubby cheeks!  I love it!!
Sweet Potatoes are good

Budding Musician??

Most of you that know Steve plays the guitar.  We found out early on that if Cameron starts to get fussy Steve will start playing and it stops her in her tracks, she will just sit there and watch him play.  He will put the guitar in front of her and she will try and strum, I think we might have a musician on our hands.

2nd Trip to Gainsville

Back in February my mom and I took Cameron up to see her Great Grandparents again.  It has been since Thanksgiving since both of them had seen her and she had changed so much since then.  We first went to see my grandfather and have lunch with him.  The public park in Gainesville is named after my family so after lunch we went over to get a few pictures of the park and the historical marker.  It was wonderful seeing all of the families that were enjoying themselves at the park.

After that we stopped by to see my grandmother and check on her.  Sadly her mind has started to go but her big heart and caring spirit is still very apparent.  She couldn't get over how big Cameron had gotten.  I know at this age Cameron won't remember but I want to try and capture as many memories as I can seeing my daughter with my incredible grandparents.  We will definitely be making another trip very soon.
